Packhouse Quality and Phytosanitary Shift Lead
This key role on our dayshift is responsible for ensuring the consistency and quality of our yummy apples by overseeing quality control processes and leading the quality team.
This is a full-time permanant role that works 40 hours per week in the off-season between Monday - Friday and up to 65 hours per week in the packing season. The packing season currently runs between February and October, Monday-Saturday, 6am - 4pm.
About the Role
· Ensure accuracy and timeliness of quality documentation and reporting
· Assist with management of packhouse quality procedures and HACCP system
· Train and lead the shift QC’s and graders
· Complete inspections as required
· Complete internal audit and reviews
Skills and Experience required for the role
· Experience in quality control and HACCP systems for apple export packhouse
· Completed Phytosanitary training.
· Team player with good people and relationship management skills
· Advanced computer skills, including ABC, Excel, Microsoft Office
· Experience leading a team and training staff.
· Proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
· Empathy towards different cultures and beliefs in a working environment
